So yes, you read the title correctly. I know! I’ve always been a fan of hummus, I mean, it’s creamy, flavourful, customizable etc. etc. It’s just the best. Now, as much as I enjoy baking and cooking in the kitchen, I love to be lazy too a lot of times. Today was one such day. I won’t deny that the idea of adding hummus to pasta had been lingering on my mind for quite a while, and I give credit to my laziness because of which I finally put the idea to test. Ah! I am so glad I did! Also BONUS! IT’S VEGAN!
OF COURSE. You will need store-bought hummus if you need to make this recipe in a pinch but hey! You can make your own too, I mean what’s better than some fresh homemade hummus? So it’s totally up to you. I used store-bought Basil Hummus (It is divine you need to try it) I used this one
. (not sponsored, I just totally love their products!)
So basically, the three ingredients you need are, Basil Hummus
or any hummus of your choice, Pasta (I used this
and some cherry tomatoes. It is so darn easy, but I’m posting a recipe anyway. You are free to add on as many add-ons as you like. So here goes…

250 g Spaghetti Pasta
2 litres water
1 1/2 tbsp salt
150 g Basil Hummus
100 g sliced cherry tomatoes
- Add the water and salt into a large pot, let it come to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to instructions.
- Drain the pasta, put the pasta back into the same pot. Stir in the hummus and the sliced cherry tomatoes. Mix well. You may add spices like pepper, paprika, chili flakes etc.
- I added some mint leaves for garnish. Enjoy!
