Holiday season is the best! Don’t you agree? I am one of those people who loves gifting. I cannot explain how much I enjoy deciding what to gift the people I love the most! However, a lot of us hate the idea of gifting and feel like it is a chore. Well, fret no more! I have curated a simple-easy list of gifts that you can pick and choose to gift, this holiday season. I am by no means trying to say that these things are important, because nothing tops a day with your family, spending quality time with them and having conversations over food. But if you absolutely have to gift something and you’re stuck, you can use this list as a guide instead of buying flowers and/or chocolates.
A Classic gift of all time. Watches never go out of style and there is one for every budget. Of course it’s a safe play because you can seldom go wrong with a watch. But, it still is quite a thoughtful gift if the person you’re gifting it to is like me! (Hahaha, fun fact, I am crazy about watches, I have worn a watch every single day of my life since I was 7 years old and I cannot survive without one. I can never check the time on my phone, doesn’t work for me naah!)
Here are a few suggestions to get you going:
- Baking tins/supplies:
This is perfect for anyone in your life that feeds you delicious baked goods. The best thing is, there is something for every budget! That’s a huge plus point when it comes to gifting if you ask me. You don’t really need to burn a hole in your pocket to gift someone something special.
Here are a few things I’d buy:
This one is for that person in your life who actually uses it. I know a few in my circle. I knowwww! I can never really use a planner, I’d love to own one though, just to make myself believe that I am organized that way haha! I do use a diary to schedule things so I can reckon if you have someone in your life that you think needs something like this, you’ve found the ideal gift my friend.
These are few of my favourites:
Ah! This one is new on my personal list too. Apparently, it is quite a common gift they say! But yes, a tie is such an elegant gift, it is not too hard to zero down on since you can stick to the basics in case you get overwhelmed with choices.
MY SECOND FAVOURITE on the entire list. I cannot describe how much I love socks. It may look or sound quite BLEH, but honestly… Who doesn’t love socks come on? Especially if they look so cozy and festive! I mean, if you gift me socks, I am not going to complain.
My absolute favourite ones:
- Skincare products/ Make-up:
This one’s a little tricky but if you know the person well, you can always gift them their favourite skincare product or make up that they already use or are planning to buy. The price range is very vast so there’s always something you can buy.
- Netflix/Online Tv subscription:
I MEAN, COME ON. It’s pretty self-explanatory. One gift I won’t be sad receiving.
Another classic. If you know a bookworm and you know their favourite authors/genres then this arena is like a goldmine. If you know where to find the best deals, early editions, signed by the author copies… You my friend will be known as the best ‘Gifter’ ever!
MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE ON THE LIST! Yes I made it a separate category on the list cause Cookbooks are everything! I cannot tell you how hard it is to control myself from buying all the delicious cookbooks I see in bookstores and on amazon because they are so freaking beautiful!! This is an ideal gift for any person who enjoys cooking, photographing food or just looking at pictures of good food.
MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE COOKBOOKS
Earrings, Necklaces, Cuffs, Bracelets etc. the list is endless and so are the options and budget ranges. This can be your last-minute safe gifting option instead of flowers and chocolates.
- Art Supplies:
We all have on artist in our circle, don’t we? This is for them. Or maybe if you hoard stationery, then don’t look any further my friend. Spend awayyyy!
- Edible gifts:
Just putting it out there you know? Self-promotion (hahaha). You can bake anything from this blog and gift it to your loved ones because, tell me who wouldn’t love some good old cookies? Or macarons? Or chocolate cake? Or… You know where I’m going with this.
